I have delineated three trends of the striation on the attached picture, these are; black (subparallel) to bedding planes of the carbonate rocks, red (oblique) and blue (oblique) at the upper left corner. Can we determine the chronology or relative age of them as there are no indicators of the sense of movement as mineral steps.
I believe that there are three striations trends, and the older is the horizontal striations (black) and the younger those delineated in blue.....
I think it is not clear which trend is older or younger from this picture. It should be tested by using more close photos from a plane on which distinct striatons trends are present together. Moreover, these trends do not seem to cut the near-horizontal plane below the picture. Is it another plane cutting off the other high-angle planes?
Below the sub- horizontal plane at the bottom there is at least one striation trend which is marked as red, to the left bottom there is another fracture trend but without striations observed....
I'm afraid these issues could be solved only directly in the field by carefull inspection of the brittle shear zone
