I want to coat the pellet because without electrical contact (may be due to the high resistance of the pellet), the V-I plot is not coming in the ZEM-3 instrument. I want to measure electrical resistivity and Seebeck coefficient at high temperatures. Kindly suggest to me any reference paper where graphite coating have been used.
Mohd Ishtiyak i think it wont be appropriate to coat graphite spray to enhance the contact. There is immense difference between the electrical resistance of Ag and Graphite spray and thus they cannot be a suitable replacement.
Honestly, i used ZEM3 for 2 consecutive years but never used even Ag paste to make a good contact (b/w the sample and the ZEM3 electrodes). Sometimes, we had the difficulty in achieve straight linear plot between I-V, but we always resolved it by smoothening the sample's surface (by used mesh papers). I am afraid that even using Ag paste may not be suitable as it will change the Seebeck values and you will not be getting the actualy/real data of your sample.
