I wanted to know if the Vicon system, as a motion capture device, can be used for real-time processing data. Can we collect online data em then use it as input to activate other devices? During an experiment...
With the sdk from Vicon you can access the data stream in real time, manipulate the data and send it to any device. So this works on the marker data. The analog data you anyway can access
Agree with all that was said. You can use Labview to create your own application or there are some commercially available software packages DFlow (https://www.motekmedical.com/products/) or xGen software by Innovative Sports Training (https://www.innsport.com/). We've used each of these to provide movement-based feedback from marker or force data or manipulate what we want the performer to react to on a visual display. One of our papers published in Journal of Applied Biomechanics shows an example.
