It is obvious that solar radiation can be concentrated using any optical concentrator such as lenses or parabolic mirrors. This is possible because  the solar rays are parallel as they are coming from far away. But how about the radiation coming from a thermal emitter at an elevated temperature ( say 1000K) about few meters away . Shall we  able concentrate these rays too into a smaller area using any sort of optical concentrating system?
