This should be viewed from the perspective of the livelihood of the fisherfolk, especially in the riverine communities, and the environmental challenges that have lingered over the years. Is there a way to monitor and enforce most of the proposed measures? How do the fishing-dependent fisherfolk and their families accept these measures, and what do they make of them? Are there cushioning options for them considering their environment and limited means to diversification?

there is a case of over-fishing within the river communities. The need to engage their primary livelihood activity (artisanal fishing) to fight hunger and poverty in the area. They engage mostly unsustainable fishing techniques that may increase their catch per unit effort in the short run but that becomes over fishing in the long run and very detrimental to their existence and the environment in general.
How will they accept these measures: The use of environmentally sustainable fishing methods can sustain more fishing even in the future and ensure that the environment are not destroyed. There is need to engage in ecological conservative practices which ensures that habitats are restored after the removal of pelagic fishes. However it is advised that they engage in other income diversification activities to help increase income and fight poverty
