Conducting Griess assay. I want to know if the actual treatment medium can be analyzed? Control, H2O2, metformin etc. or will these compounds interfere with the assay?
The Griess assay requires that Nitrates in the sample be reduced to Nitrites which are reactive. Thus, the continued presence of Peroxide radical is likely to oxidize your Nitrites back to Nitrates. You're better off to use 'ion chromatography' in this case.
