Jodesha, although stimulus packages have been used by various governments across the globe as a way to help small and large organisations bear the economic ravages caused by COVID-19, the extent to which these businesses survive depends, in part, on the level of economic scarring that has already happened. Additionally, the survival of companies will also partly be dependent on the level of resilience that they can muster now and in the future. It is crucial that the people management practices these organisations adopt become smarter, more innovative and creative for their and their employees' survival. Interesting discussion point.
The biggest challenge that a business faces during or after a pandemic is the lack of demand for its goods. This happens because there is limited funds in the hands of the buyers or may be because the buyers are too afraid to spend. Usually it is seen that stimulus packages help a business to reduce costs. If these types of stimulus packages are provided to businesses, then it is difficult to help them during the COVID-19 pandemic. Actually, it would be better to help the buyers instead of the businesses. If the buyers are comfortable then the business would automatically walk into a comfortable position.

Yes....Govt. should try to revive the economy by offering some relief. Some tax exemptions may be given, even some relaxations in the applicability of certain provisions of a few Acts may be given, Even in Hospitality sector, relaxation in electricity, cess, and other relief is the need of hour. Something is always better than nothing, and I suppose, it will result in multiplier effect, apart from motivation.

I believe the stimulus packages can safeguard many businesses in the country based on its economic structure. Given the restrictions on international trade, it is inevitable that without this intervention (stimulus package), many businesses may not be able to come back. The impact of COVID 19 is bound to be longer than anticipated, given waves of reinfection and spread against the unavailable vaccine's odds in most regions. To minimize the impact, something must give to balance out the effect in the long run.
Stimuli for small and medium businesses can offer a light economic incentive for SMEs to execute the "3Rs" (reorganize, reinvent and reopen)Rodriguez-Mont (2020). This situation took all the entrepreneurs so by surprise that in the first instance the businesses expected this situation to pass in two or three months, but when they realized that the situation did not show signs of being resolved but rather worsened, the creativity of the micro-entrepreneurs flourished, but in many cases the fixed costs were accumulated and even if they had good reinvention strategies they found themselves in debt. Therefore, the economic incentive in many cases helped them to reinvent their business and reopen the "doors" from innovation.
