The software METEONORM (www.meteotest.ch ) provides meteorological hourly annd monthly data all over the world. In Ireland (North and south) , they have data for 5 cities and 8 meteorological stations. Since I have the software, I could send you files containing the data you need for the place of interest.

For Ireland, you can refer to the European Union-Joint Research Center (EU-JRC). This organization have monitored and estimated the solar radiation potential for Almost European Union, Africa as well Few parts of Asia. Data is available in the form of Maps or the TMY files, hourly, daily, annually also.
