Do you mean "drilling-induced fractures" on the borehole walls?
You can check the book "Reservoir Geomechanics" by Mark D. Zoback (2010). The 2nd part of the text describes how to measure present-day stress in boreholes, and provides some reading on this issue.
I think this paper by Sebastian Bell is a better one. You will not see drilling-induced borehole wall fractures in core - these only form on the borehole wall due to the stress concentration around the wellbore (See World Stress Map Guidelines). However, you may see petal or centerline fractures in core.
