Can someone share experience of conducting an online test for college students in mass (by college or NGOs) with an objective of identifying depression or Bi-polar probables? Does this work? Which test is used?
It is possible via Google docs or Kobotolbox software. You can apply PHQ 9 scale for assessment of depression or similar other tools for other psychological evaluations. These scales are very user friendly via online means. We have conducted few studies via online means using similar tools and got good results.
Thanks you very much for your prompt answer. Will you please share any reference of the work if it is published? If not, will you please help me with following infomation;
(1) How accurate was the outcome? I mean how many of those who were identified as probables were actually suffering from depression?
(2) Did you target other disorders like cyber addiction or Bi-polar etc? Which inventories were used other than PHQ - 9? e.g. Millon clinical multiaxial inventory or other equivalent?
You mentioned that it works well which is very encouraging. Ours will be a non profit project. Just wondering how come this is not common practice given the kind of positive impact it can make?
