I use regular plastic piping that is always getting gunked up with material and would like to find a treated plastic that will be easier to clean. The material dries rather quickly and has a high binder content, making it difficult to scrape off. I have tried contacting a few hydrophobic coating manufacturers, but they only work in the food industry and just shrug me off. I would be greatly appreciative if someone could point me in the right direction.
Hello. Maybe the issue is on the plastic you are using on your pipes. "Regular" plastic piping does not say much, but depending on what is passing through, it will gunk up no matter what.
The choice of material for the pipe, and not a coating, wil help you out. It could be of many types, like HDPE, PP, PA12, PTFE, PVDF, etc. There a lots of choices, and you should contact companies working with specialty plastic pipes, like the ones serving the chemical processing industries.
