Can Someone explain theis to me?

Hi honorable members, I am looking for more reasons why my VES modeled layers are not correlating with the borehole drilled logs. For example, VES predicted four layers but the drilled logs showed more than that. What are your thoughts

Which reagent is best among 'Dimethylglyoxime" and "Dithiothreitol" for spectroscopic determination of Nickel ?

What I think is Dithiothreitol. As it is water-soluble and does not form a precipitate. But, the thing is it contains sulphur which is quite hazardous to aquatic animals.
