The difference in the spectra due to the fact that heating PE is its oxidation, thus disappear from the spectrum band of the double bond (950-990 cm-1) and appear vibration band carboxy groups (1700-1750 cm-1) hydroxyl groups (~ 3400 cm-1) and ether bonds (1000-1200 cm-1). Probably at the same time you can change the intensity of the bands. Basically, at the proper level stabilization PE these processes can be minimized.
