Independent of the scale that probably is in inches??. The upper one seems to be part of the dorsal vertebrae of a beaked whale. The lower one seems to be a vertebra of a mysticete, probably of the genus Balaenoptera.

Could you help me identify this vertebrae I found in a cove in Mid-Coast Maine USA?

The pen is 145mm/just over 5.7inches.

By the size, and shape, it seems to me to be lumbar vertebrae of a bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus)
