I suggest you use this book "Java Concepts, 5th Edition by Cay Horstmann or also you can use Herbert Schildt's books like "The Complete Reference,Java 2". But if you wanna focus on java data structures, "Data Structures and Algorithms in Java by Goodrich" may help you strongly.

This is simple book with a lot of examples for start of programming.

Its is good for start.

2. Java: A beginner's Guide, Third edition, Herbert Schildt is good book for learning the java language.
