How and why vertical (systemic) and horizontal transmission of seed-endosymbionts occurred from seed generation to generations (F1... F2... F3)- interested to hear possible mechanism from published or unpublished findings!! Further more, is there any functional relevance of seed symbionts to plant growth and productivity?
