The answer is yes.

Controlling the steriochemistry of a center or centers through inter- or intra-molecular hydrogen bonding is largely dependent on the activation energy needed for the conversion. In cases where a catalyst is involved this activation energy is significantly reduced, thus enabling an easy conversion process.

Research on this topic has started before 2010 and several theses (dissertations) were devoted to explore the parameters affecting such conversion.

Dear Sir,

Its surely true, stereo-chemistry is fully dependent of Inter/Intra H-bonding, Steric hindrance, Electrostatic interactions among the substrate molecules as well as substrate and catalyst. That's the reason in most of the asymmetric synthesis by chemical or bio-chemical asymmetric catalysis. You can refer research papers of Prof. Anju Chadha (Bio-catalysis) and Prof. V Kesavan (Chemical catalysis), IIT Madras. 

Its not surprising think, but main reason for asymmetric synthesis.
