I have gone through few research papers that uses polypropylene fibres to achieve Ultra High Strength, however, the strength achieved is not more than 120MPa. With steel fibres, strength achieved is much higher up to 180MPa. Is there any way I can replace steel fibres with Polypropylene fibres to achieve strength upto 180MPa?
In Pakistan, polypropylene is cheaper and available where as steel fibres need to be imported which will take a lot of time.
Depends on the following: Service temperature, are you worried about creep, will the fibres be exposed to weather (UV, Ozone, Water). Just a few things that steel doesn't need to worry about! PP or softens around 110°C and it creeps under load.

Kevlar is better, more costly, difficult to work with. PE softens at 80°C and is molten at >100°C and it creeps.
in elevated temperature it is not possible but in lower temp and ambient temp. it is possible.
