Yes, you can use a polynomial regression to attempt to predict the stock market price. But, you have to carefully pick the input variables and fully understand their meanings.

the coefficient. For instance the polinomial trend

where:

If β1 > 0 and β2>0; increasing

If β1 > 0 and β2
