For my masters thesis I have measured the extent to which citizens are satisfied with the national and EU covid-19 policy (which is measured on a likert scale through Eurobarometer surveys) on three different time points (April, June and October 2020). Now I want to see if there is a significant difference per member state.

Given that my dependent variable (satisfaction with policy) is ordinal (Likert scale) and my independent variable (which are the time points?) is categorical, I am wondering if I can use a friedman test. If not, does anyone have a good alternative? Many thanks!
