Recently, I'v got an accepted conference paper to be presented in the coming September. I will submit my camera ready paper in the coming week. Can I make a citation for this publication in another paper I wish to submit?
In my field it is acceptable to do so with the status of the future publication clear (for a journal article this may be in-press or in-submission; for a conference proceeding in APA you are required to give the month and year, and it is clear that it is in the future). You can also cite unpublished manuscripts ---- as long as it is clear to the reader what the status is and whether they can actually find it at this time.
