Hello friends, I want to analyze the consumer behavior on two different levels i. e organizational level and individual level for the product choice behavior.
For example, I want to measure the sustainable hotel choice behavior of customers.
So, I have incorporated a survey for individual level characteristics then I want to nest the hotel's green initiatives.
Please suggest what do i do?
Yes, you can do it on SPSS and many other software packages. Multilevel is about modelling the nesting of individuals within their spatial contests. For example, you are trying to model whether students' performances differ within schools and among schools because of their geo-spatial environments. A few great statisticians on this topics. Yes you can do multilevel nested model analysis on SPSS.
The easiest way is to use the GLM-Univariate dialogue box to input data as a regular general linear model. At the end, instead of pushing OK, you push Paste, and a new dialogue window will open with the code lines. Here is an example:
DATASET ACTIVATE DataSet0.
UNIANOVA choice_beh BY var_level1 var_level2 var_level3
/METHOD=SSTYPE(3)
/INTERCEPT=INCLUDE
/CRITERIA=ALPHA(0.05)
/DESIGN=var_level1 var_level2 var_level3.
You then rewrite the DESIGN line code, in order to accommodate the different nesting levels, for instance:
/DESIGN=var_level1 var_level2(var_level1) var_level3(var_level2(var_level1)).
meaning that var_level2 is nested under var_level1, and var_level3 is nested within var_level2.
After adjusting the design you just press the Run button on the Sintax.
