Now I want to determine the crystal form (type A or type B..) of the samples, but the XRD is now out of function.
So, my question is,
Can I determine the crystal type of samples by using PLM? (Samples are all same component)
I heard that different crystal type of samples shows different colors.
Please let me know.

Using PLM you can distinguish different faces of a crystal, but not the angels between the faces. So for crystal characterization you need to use goniometry or XRD
Some colored crystals may demonstrate different colors in different crystal orientation for incoming and outcomming light direction etc. wery often different polymorphs coul be crystallized in different crystal shape(like needle/plate/block/prizm...)but sometimes the same crystal polymorph has different crystal shape. It depends on crystallization conditions like type of solvent, concentration, temperature. If you have some experience and reference crystal forms like A and B to compare with the sample you have, so in this case you can make dicision about crystal form in your sample.
I assume you meant to distinguish different polymorphs of a substance. You will have to look up if the optical properties of the two different phases do differ. Optical properties to look for are color, shape, and the refraction index, especially birefigence.
Cubic crystals for example do not show any birrefingence, while all crystals that belong to any other crystal system will (at least in certain orientations).
It is possible to distinguish the phases and domain patterns of some materials, such as anti-/ferroelectrics. There are some book(Handbook of dielectric, piezoelectric and ferroelectric materials,12.3) and papers, see appended.
