Look carefully the following article "The montane circulation on Kilimanjaro, Tanzania and its relevance for the summit ice fields: Comparison of surface mountain climate with equivalent reanalysis parameters NC Pepin, WJ Duane and DR Hardy, in Global and Planetary Change."

This article shows that to analyze with certainty the dynamics of glaciers is needed much more than a regional analysis (which is also used), but for the correct description of the behavior of Kilimanjaro was a local need assessment.

Soon I get scared when it comes to regional models, which depending on the characteristics of these explain only part of the dynamics of structures.
