Can hydrochloric acid replace the conventional use of sulphuric acid for the dissolution of ammonium molybdate in mitochondrial ATPase assay?

I have read some literatures on the dissolution of ammonium molybdate for ATPase assay. Some used perchloric acid, some distilled water and some hydrochloric acid. Conventionally, sulphuric acid was used by most journals. Any difference in using either hydrochloric, perchloric or sulphuric acid?
