Can humulin be administered intranasally to rodents?

I am working on novel therapies for insulin resistance. I wish to explore the intranasal route. Is it possible to administer the widely available insulin preparations normally used for parenteral use to experimental rodents via the intranasal route without any special formulations eg enhancers etc
