I am trying to compare abdominal circumference for three groups of rats (control,dose1 & dose2). The data has failed normality, confirmed by Shapiro-Wilk's test. I have data for all the three groups at time zero, after 8 weeks and after 12 weeks. Can I compare the significance among groups with Friedman test for Repeated Measure for non-parametric data ? Can I compare data at time point zero, eight and 12 weeks using the same test.And should I consider Wilcoxon rank test for posthoc analysis. Urgent help required, p[lease help anyone.
Friedman can do an one way repeated measures design where ID is your blocking variable and group is the factor you want to compare. Afterwards you use a post-hoc test that is e.g. indeed a pairwise wilcoxon signed rank test.
However there is also a rank-transformed ANOVA that you might use instead, where you can count in the interaction between time and group, which is closer to what you're asking for.
