Industrial effluents are being treated by various adsorbents. The efficiency of adsorption of your adsorbate primarily will depend on the nature of the adsorbate of your interest and the adsorbent you use.

Yes, the adsorption technology will works for effluent. Depends upon the characteristics of effluent you chose the suitable adsorbent for the studies.

Will the high COD or BOD affects the performance of adsorption system,

we actually facing the heavy sludge generation in our day to day operation of ETP. So we wanted to to go for the new system which can reduce the sludge generation . Currently we are operating based on Increasing pH by adding lime in batch reactor and allowed to settle down and correcting the pH. In this we are facing sludge generation is the major issue.

If this adsorption technology elkiminates sludge generation in a process and also thinking of elimination of batch reactors, so that my treatment time can be reduced
