I have a ferromagnetic DMS system. On doping with a group V element, we find the presence of a spin-glass state along with ferromagnetism. How is this possible?
A spin glass is a magnetic state characterised by randomness, besides cooperative behavior in freezing of spins at a temperature known as 'freezing temperature' Tf. Magnetic spins have ,random orientations in three-dimensional space. In ferromagnetic solids, aspect atoms' magnetic spins all align in the same direction. Spin glass when compared to a ferromagnet is described as "disordered" magnetic state in which spins are aligned randomly or now not with a ordinary sample and the couplings too are random.
Therefore, the arguments advanced by Dr. Sachin Gupta describe adequately the situation and the consequences of the site disorder.
