Hello everyone.

I am working on in vitro drug assays on cancer cell lines, which I will analyze using cytoxicity assays (MTT + SRB). However, my lab lacks access to a microplate reader, so I intend to use a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a nearby university.

My concern is whether it is practical to prepare and incubate the cytotoxicity assay plates in my lab, and then transport them to the other university (15–20 minutes drive) for analysis using their UV-Vis spectrophotometer.

Is this the right approach? How can I ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results under these circumstances?

Any advice or guidance on handling this situation would be greatly appreciated!
