My question is why almost mouse breast cancer model- MMTV-ErbB2 Tg mice carry Rat Neu rather than human Her2 or mouse her2 gene? For example: MMTV-Neu mice

Because the components of the signaling cascades are that of mice (rodent) proteins; and even though many key proteins are largely conserved there are variations that are specific to a particular order.
