I face problem while make my M.Sc students understand about Eulerian description of motion in fluid and Eulerian derivative or convective derivative. I wish to know how can I approach to these two very important ideas which are almost every where present in the later portion of a standard course of fluid mechanics. Students come from a background of 3 yrs math(major), where they have to follow a quite good syllabus on particle dynamics, rigid body dynamics and hydrostatics.
The best way is to use video film I suggest Dr. Hunter Rouse fluid mechanics film.

Sir, You have raised wright question. Every one face such problem in the teaching field. But I say that can we make it easy by using practical things like when fluid flow from cylinder, we try to pictures such situation...
To understand the problem, think about the phenomenon of fluid flow and key parameters involving in it with real world problems. Use related video films in support.

@Michael Brückner, thanks for your answer. Many of my learned friends have provided answers/suggestions in response to my question. The point with the Youtube and Wikipedia is that the information stored there are not always true. In fact I can site numerous examples where the stored information is completely wrong, misleading and at times so confusing that I wish my students stay away from it at least when they are at the beginning of some important conceptual study. Anyway, once again thanks for your response and I will certainly check it out in the Youtube.
The most important thing is that in Eulerian approach, we are supposed to be standing at a certain point in the flow and are measuring flow variables such as velocity, pressure, etc., while in Lagrangian approach, we are tracking a certain fluid particle and at different points or different times we measure velocity, pressure, etc. at that fluid particle. In solid mec., we are normally interested in Lagrangian approach., but in fluid mechanics usually in Eulerian approach. Note, in most fluid mech. applications, the overal effect of the fluid motion on the flow boundaries is important and thus it does not matter which fluid particle has caused it.
