I am working on CRCN patch and NS2.31. I need help to make changes to the AODV protocol, like adding new fields in RREQ and making decisions on that field for path selection.
I will be thankful if anyone can help.
I know information about fields is in rreq_packet.h

Change RREQ in aodv_packet.h,more precisely, add your new field in the struct hdr_aodv_request, and don't forget to update sz.

You can do that by changing sendRREQ and recvRREQ. As already Salim suggested follow that link (http://arxiv.org/pdf/1007.4065.pdf) for better understanding of AODV implementation in ns2.
