Can anyone tell me how does the formula of intrinsic stacking fault energies (ISF) come out by axial interaction method (AIM) ?

Hello, I want to calculate the intrinsic stacking fault energies (ISF) by axial interaction method (AIM) with VASP. In the attached paper page 3, it shows a formula r(ISF) = (Ehcp + 2Edhcp - 3Efcc)/A. I am confused that why can we calculate ISF in this way?
