Cross section of a nowakiid (dacryoconarid) or another tentaculitid, showing longitudinal striae in cross section perhaps?
Dear Christian
You answer might be very close to the reality, would you please tell me what is the stratigraphic range of these Nowakiid tentaculitids with longitudinal striae, in paleozoic? Just devonian or they are present in older strata as well.
Hesameddin Hosseini Araghi
Nowakiid's have been found in Silurian strata.
Is there any record of Nowakids reported in Cambrian, as far as I know Tentaculitids in general apear in Early Ordovician?
The thin shell wall suggests to me a Radiolarian.
