Our research team work on regeneration aspects of threatened species revealed a diversity of factors like moisture regime in the soils, radiation budget of the terrain of the species and impact of pests/predators and more frequently forest fires/grazing would drastically lower the rate of seed germination. You can opt the work on these lines in a disturbed forest area as well compare with a protected area.

First you must analize the exomorphology and the anatomy of the seeds under study, then define their typu of germination and if they are recalcitrant or not. The test of germinability are very important if the conditions of the greenhouse are similar to the nature where the seeds were taken from.
