This can be done in either 2 steps or a single step of pulping-deinking. Adding the following chemicals together with air bubbles can improve deinking:
- Sodium hydroxide, NaOH - improve fibre swelling and ink detachment
- Sodium silicate, Na2SiO3 - assist ink dispersion
- Alum or CaCl2 - assist frothing and flocculation of ink particles
Carrying out the pulping at elevated temperatures also improves deinking

The air bubbles are meant to float the ink particles which agglomerate to the surface for easy removal. This is very useful for deinking at large scale. For smaller scale deinking, you can just use a mixer/ disintegrator which will also introduce air bubbles. After deinking, the separated ink particles can be easily washed off from the pulp.

Dear Mustafa, do you have any experience about occ fiber? i want to dry and use them in board manufacturing.
A part of my study is about OCC. But i am gonna use them for recycle. I heard that some researchers have used OCC for producing fiberboards
