Can anyone suggest relevant research regarding parental perceptions on the birth order effect?

Whether parents believe there to be a birth order effect. How parents believe the effect impacts upon how they raise their children.

I did 2-3 research projects on birth order and creativity, published in the mid-1980s, but parental perception...I might consult what my mentor, Robert Albert, wrote about families. He was a genius when it came to understanding such things. Now that you mention it, I wonder if the Social Validation Method, which focuses on parents' perceptions, could be used in a new study of birth order....good idea!
