Julian Opel thankyou for helping. actually i use this journal by abdollahi for synthesize hollow nanogold. then i have to functionalize it with -COOH in outer shells. is it possible to functionalized it after i got my hollow nanogold (after silica template been removed by HF)?

I only found journals of people who functionalized AuNP with COOH and haven't found one yet it hollow nanogold with COOH. does the structure of nanoparticles matters?
