So many methods are available for evaluation of Nitrogenous compounds from soil, water, meat & even plant samples. Kindly suggest a standard procedure for determination of Nitrate & Nitrites from dry plant samples.
It depends what the powders are? Are they soluble in water? If so you could determine the levels in water and subtract from the levels in the solution. If not, you'll need to look at an extraction process.
The Griess assay is a valid option, but you might want to consider Ozone chemiluminescence, probably a more reliable method.
