I want to create a questionnaire for my qualitative research and scales and constructs for it. I want to analyse the model data at the end. Please suggest a good book to read from and online resources.
This is global problem that research scholars start research with questionnaire. That is wrong. The research should start with literature survey, identifying a suitable research problem and then decide what is to be investigated and how. Research design is finalised. Based on the theoretical background and selection of variables, data required to be collected are finalised. Type of data needed and how these will be analysed are all decided. Then comes framing of questionnaire. Questionnaires are relevant only in survey-based research. Whole set of activities depend on selection of research questions and goals. There are several online question preparation websites like survey monkey and google docs and many others.
randomness test has to be carried out in Likert scale-based question response to ensure these are not filled up by manipulations. while preparing responses in 2-3 random questions the response has to be reversed to see if responded blindly ticking answers or even reading questions. Questionnaires are generally pretested and finalised in a pilot study on roughly 10% to 5% of total samples, but other than list of respondents in samples.
