It is well known that fisheries resources relate to the system of coastal resources and pelagic system. We know that we can utilize fishes from coral reefs for example and oceanic pelagic or in between. But, valuing these goods and services is still developing methods on the common knowledge, especially to avoid the bias and double counting.
Would you please share your experience and knowledge in this content in order to have an overview on the ocean wealth of this fisheries resources.

I would start with catch data if available. Usually you can get data on catch per effort. If you add in the value of catch you get an idea of what the economic value of that fishery.
If you want to estimate the value of the resource left in the oceans you would need to look at various sampling and modelling methods

Well. well, there're various ways you could value fisheries resources. Additional to the various financial/commercial statistical methods, let me draw your attention to a socially oriented approach: valueing a fishery by the number of people/families that make their living out of the fishery. Keep in mind that, for eample, you may get high financial value, but all the benefit will go to some anonymous owners of fishing vessels and their outlandish crews, and in some cases, certain bribed officials. The local people, area and country will draw insignificant value out of such fishery. On the other hand, while the financial incomes/profits might be much less, where such a fishery is supported by local artisanal/small-scale fishermen, its value for the people and country might be much greater.
I would agree with Menakhem (a true ol'sea lyon and fish-monger!) on evaluating the social aspects of fisheries. Also, I would like to recommend to Yudi to go through the FAO reports on the matter: a good starting point. Best from Greenland.
