An important task of the microbiology laboratory is the performance of antimicrobial susceptibility testing of significant microorganism isolates. The goals of testing are to detect possible drug resistance and to assure susceptibility to drugs of choice (antibiotics,bacteriocins, plant extracts...) . The most widely used testing methods include diffusion methods, broth micro/macrodilution even automated techniques.
