I am searching for literature on the use of Manufactured wood in achieving sustainable development. Manufactured wood which actually use waste coming from Hard or soft wood and now used as structural members in the buildings. Can anyone share the information?

Medium Density Fibre-board (popularly known as MDF) is made from the rapidly growing eucalyptus trees. Eucalyptus is a very fast growing tree whose stock is rapidly replenished in the tropical forests. MDF has 85-90 % post-industrial recycled content and is widely used in construction of interiors in green rated building. Search up some good links for Medium Density Fibreboard produced from eucalyptus trees in the internet...its used nowadays widely in India...

I am just reading your request and I hope that it is not too late to share some relevant sources of literature that you might find potentially useful.
'Engineered wood products' (EWP) or what is perhaps referred to in your request as 'Manufactured wood' is increasingly being used especially in USA and Canada in the construction of buildings. Beyond utilization for these in the envelopes of buildings such as oriented strand board (OSB) and plywood, the use also of EWPs including Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) and composite I-joists in strength functionality of buildings have been shown to surpass those of non-engineered wood.
In my former lab at the University of British Columbia (UBC), we published some studies that you might perhaps find useful especially: Sianchuk et. al. 2012. Determining Stocks and Flows of Structural Wood Products in Single Family Homes in the United States between 1950 and 2010. Forest Prod. J. 62(2):90–101
However a lot of the work done in this area have been undertaken by the Consortium for Reasearch on Renewable Industrial Materials (CORRIM). You will find tonnes of useful papers on their website: http://www.corrim.org/pubs/index.asp
