I am in process of designing a tubular reactor system with continuous recirculation of solids slurry in 20 % loading. Can anyone recommended a good slurry pump which can well handle liquids with 20% solid loadings?
There are various types of positive displacement pumps(Gear, lobe and ECP pumps) which may be utilized in pumping slurries: air-operated diaphragm pumps, peristaltic, rotary lobe, progressive cavity pumps, and piston diaphragm pumps. Positive displacement pumps are generally useful for fluids, which demonstrate pseudo-plastic behavior.
