We have a disruptor genie from scientific industries and regarding choosing the ideal bead size in order to lyse placental tissue, I would like to ask if anyone can recommend me sth?(I would like to extract proteins from my samples and have chosen standard RIPA buffer with proteinase inhibitor coctail. If you have any suggestions in this regard, I am also happy hear from you.)

When hitting the literature, I find anything between 1-7 mm bead size for mechanical "bead mill" tissue disruption.

Can you recommend stainless or glass beads?

Also how long would you perform the disruption? There I find anything between 1 and 5 min.

Many thanks in advance!
