I am trying to fabricate a flexible solid-state supercapacitor using H2SO4/PVA gel. To avoid the direct contact between the capacitor electrodes, I need to use a separator sandwiching between the 2 electrodes. I have used a separator for aqueous supercapacitors, however it does not work well on gel (solid-state) supercapacitor. My capacitor became very resistive (much less capacitance) when the gel dried completely. I thought that the problem is caused by the separator.
I am looking for a commercial specialized separator for solid-state supercapacitors. Please suggest me. Thank you so much.

Actually, it is my 1st time I've heared about Cabosil. I also don't know about Whatman polymer separator 2400.
I used the gel electrolytes as mentioned in these papers to make supercapacitors: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/adma.201304756/abstract and http://pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/ArticleLanding/2013/EE/c3ee40515j#!divAbstract . In my lab, I used a porous hydrophylic membrane that is often used to make coin type battery as separator for capacitors.

There are a lot of Whatman filter paper, however its thickness is too large (~100 to 300 um). I need a thin filter paper of ~ 20 to 50 um if possible. Could you please suggest me a specific one? Thank you.
Did u try with PTFE membrane with pore diameter of 0.4 micrometer. Teflon's are resistive to acids they are thin and viable to be used as a separator.
