thank you for your interest , the parameter of deposition .
Although it depends on the synthesis parameters (precursors, additivies, pH, etc.), substrates rotating at a speed of 1000 rpm for 30 s, and post annealed in air at 300 0C for 45 min. seem to be the best deposition parameters.
please note that Cd is highly toxic, care should be taken when doing the experiment

Take care about the thermodynamic instability. As well known, deposition of CdS by sol-gel methods is not so easy. And, you should try the seeding method. Before the deposition, you should put the substrate in an ice bucket in some minutes. It will effect your result...
