Dear all,
I have a data frame with a very large number of columns (let's say 90,000 columns) and I want to add a column ID for each column. I know how to do it in R. But couldn't figure out the procedure in Python. Can anyone help me by demonstrating the command for it?

in what format do you have this dataframe? Is it list, numpy array of pandas DataFrame?
Assuming you have a pandas data frame called 'df' with 90,000 columns. Replace 'df' with the variable name of your data frame:
column_names = ['column_{}'.format(i) for i in range(1, 90001)]
df.columns = column_names
