I was doing my MTech thesis on pendulum based TMD and I was having trouble defining the link properties. I even followed the tutorials put on CSI website. still, I wasn't able to properly do that.I would be very grateful if anyone helped me with this.

I did follow the same guidelines by Computer and Structures. but the problem was that the mass-spring system didn't oscillate at all. It wasn't making any reduction vibration. can you please inform me what might be the reason?

Assume the mass of the damper as 5 to 10% of the total mass of the building/structure. Find out the natural frequency of the model. Calculate stiffness in all three directions (kx, ky, and kz) using the dynamic equation of motion.
Finally, draw a point as TMD then connect it to a node in the structure using the two-point link (or dashpot). The value of mass is assigned to the point directly. Also, the damping coefficient and stiffness of TMD should be defined in the properties of the link.

And the distance between the node i.e the length of the spring...according to CSI link, the length of mass-spring is fixed based on the fundamental period of the structure, but they also mentioned about the drawn length of the link object can be arbitrary and may be chosen for convenience; it may even be zero y. can you please share some insight about this?
